About Us
Martin Liptrot - Founder and Managing Director
After 20 years working in leadership roles for global organizations in London, Switzerland, Atlanta, Memphis and New York, Martin established 98Republic to help make good ideas happen.
"We named it after the highway which first connected Pensacola to Apalachicola, but now extends from Mississippi to south Florida." said Martin. "It seemed an appropriate name to reflect the hard work, entrepreneurship and resilience of the people who call this remarkable place home."
"Since 2004, when we bought our home here, much has changed. Some old landmarks have gone, new businesses and communities have arrived and the population of both residents and visitors has rocketed. I felt my skills could be used to help people, businesses and organizations make good ideas happen".
Martin can often be seen buzzing around South Walton on his imported Italian Vespa. "Its a great way to get around, it brings a smile and a wave from friends, and it initiates a question or two from curious visitors - which makes it the perfect way to stay connected to our community."

We helped launch the 30A Half Marathon which has now become a key event in the South Walton calendar. We attracted hundreds of runners, secured sponsorship and managed tv, radio and news media coverage as well as raising vital funds for local charities and good causes.

We worked to establish this award-winning local brewery's brand, designed its packaging and marketing materials and helped create the sales and distribution channels to get the product into pubs, bars and retail stores.
Grayton Beer Company
We had the unbelievable privilege of supporting the opening of this ultra-boutique hotel not once, but twice! We worked with the original owners to launch their concept and then again with St Joe after they purchased it.
